Community Food Funders and the Environmental Grantmakers Affinity Group of the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers are collaborating to host a meeting for NJ funders interested in food system change. Food touches everything. How we grow, harvest, process, package, transport, market, consume, and dispose of our food has far reaching impacts on the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and the environment.
Roots to Routes: A Food System Tour, 9/27
Starting in one of New York City’s neighborhoods most impacted by Superstorm Sandy in 2012, this funder learning tour will look back and forward highlighting community resilience efforts with regard to just rebuilding, climate, and local food systems.

On July 30th, The Urban Agriculture Working Group of CFF partnered with the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers to host a day-long tour of urban agriculture sites in Newark, NJ. 25 funders participated in the bus tour visiting Newark gardens and farms and hearing from presenters.
